This is for you, Kristi!

I write this post in response to a post written by my cousin Kristi on her blog. I reached the point where I could let things slide and just enjoy my children for being what they are (CHILDREN!) long ago. I had to in order to keep my sanity!! Welcome to the club, Kristi :) Here are some pictures of things my kids have done over the years that tested my patience and my sanity, but never my love!

They make  us laugh, they make us cry. We wonder how we’ll ever make it through raising them with our minds intact! But we do…because they love us….and we love them too! MWAH!

Spring…..Finally!!!

2009 04 21_0639

This is my peach tree telling me it is spring.Yes, it is officially spring! I can’t believe how long it’s been in coming! Isn’t the saying ‘April showers bring May flowers’? Well not in Utah! It SNOWED in April. Not just once, but many times. I know…disgusting! I was truly disappointed in mother nature. Now the rain has begun. Unfortunately, it only seems to rain on the weekends…so no camping for us:(

Regardless of all the rain, we seem to be busier than ever. I can’t remember the last time I sat down to read my e-mail  and do some blogging. I know it’s been a long time because my mailbox had a LOT of mail in it. Sorry everyone! Didn’t mean to ignore you.

Here are some of the things we’ve been up to…

Notice the snow? This trip actually took Place at the beginning of March. It was 70 degrees that day and about 30 degrees that night. Needless to say we opted not to stay another night! BRRRR!

Derby Day

The boys had a blast at their very first Pinewood Derby competition last Thursday. Chandler won 1st place and Cade came in fourth. Not too shabby for their first race!

Boys Will Be Boys??

More like boys will be monkeys, if you ask me!

Created by AccuSoft Corp.

Gone are the days when they sat docilely on the edge of the tub watching the water flow.  This is what I caught my 8 year old twins doing yesterday…I’m sitting in the family room and I hear all this noise coming from the boys bathroom. They are yelling WOOHOOOOOOO! and laughing up a storm and the curtain hooks are rattling something fierce. I think to myself, “This can’t be good”. Boy was I right! I walk into the bathroom to find Cade standing on the soap ledge (which is halfway up the shower wall) poised to jump! They were taking turns jumping from the ledge, swinging from the shower curtain rod and landing in the bottom of the tub. The curtain was askew, there was water everywhere and they look up and say, “Oh, hi Mom!”, like nothing is out of the ordinary! Sadly for me, this is true. Not a bit out of the ordinary. Just another episode in the days of my life! Those boys are going to be the death of me!

Lucky for them, I also think they are adorable!

Total Irritation

This was my reaction when, recently, I called my doctor to make an appointment for a check-up. I was going in for my regular hormone check and to have him take a look at my dislocated ribs. I was told that he could see me the second week of March (this was the first week of January). My mouth literally dropped open. I’m sure I looked just like this picture…with a little less hair, of course!

This was my reaction when I was told that the doctor could check my hormones this appointment but I would have to make a separate appointment for my ribs. “Are you kidding me?!” was my internal reaction…Unfortunately for the poor receptionist, it was also my external reaction….expressed loudly….right in her ear!  I felt bad for her, but come on! If I were to go in with a dog bite and rabies are they going to dress the wound and leave the rabies for later? I can’t have more than one medical ailment treated at a time? What is wrong with these people!

I have since decided that my doctor has spread himself too thin and I need to find a new one. Most irritating after seeing the same doctor for 11 years, but what can you do?

Totally Irritated signing out. I promise to be in a better mood for my next post :)

Now You've Done It!

Well, you've done it! You've finaly convinced me to do something I swore I would never do...I am officially a blogger! How could I not after seeing the cute pictures of all your families and reading your funny stories. It gave me a great urge to share my own! I will warn you, however, that this is going to be a slow process for me, so be patient!
